Two of my paintings will be exhibited at the Boulder Art Association show being held at the Museum of Boulder, December 3, 2020 to February 1, 2021. The theme of the show is “The BAAaaa! Show: In and Around Boulder,” as a pun on the Boulder Art Association’s initials. The Museum of Boulder is at 2205 Broadway in Boulder.
We were asked to paint sheep as one of our entries for the show and I chose to paint a lovely ram named “Petit” who lives on a farm in Switzerland. He is a rare Roux du Valais sheep and I fell in love with his beautiful red wool. His ownner, Claire Jennerat, was very generous in allowing me to paint from her photo. You can see more photos of him and their family life in Switzerland on Instagram at @theswissshepherdess.
The other painting was one I did from my own photo of my husband with our baby cockatoo, sitting on the porch of the house he rented when we were dating on East Pearl.
I hope you get a chance to see the show!
Thanks,
Lori
